We’ve been fans of live webcast platform Livestream since we used their professional service for our TEDx Seattle event a year and a half ago. Right now, I’m watching the OccupyNYC stream in amazement as the police raid Liberty Park. It looks like a real newscast, complete with news ticker at the bottom of the screen. Except, this is being shot by a citizen. So far, the Livestream feed has held up with 20,000 viewers. I wonder how long the network connection will last — it’s probably a 3G mobile link, dependent on towers, and possibly the will of city officials.
