The call from KING5 couldn’t have come at a better time. The hard copy of Storyteller Uprising is now for sale on Amazon.com, which I announced this morning on New Day Northwest during a segment on mobile apps. As I told my students in class last night, if we’re now all storytellers, we also need to seize any opportunity to grab attention. So I contrived a mini Oprah-moment, and gave every member of the audience a free copy of the book (ironically, printed by the University Bookstore).While I was on KING, Fox Q13 called to interview me about the digital divide in mobile (a so-called “app-gap”). So I hightailed it over to their studio to do an interview with their 5 p.m. anchor (the show leads into the World Series tonight) and promote the book yet again.Yes, I may be a scholar salesman, but if I don’t market my work, who will?
